The Houthis reveal their latest targets
Houthi Leader Threatens Embassies, Vows New Missile Strikes on Israel After Port Bombings
The Houthi terrorist leader warned of widespread missile attacks on Israel following strikes on their ports, targeting key infrastructure and urging foreign embassies to relocate. The escalating threats highlight the intensifying conflict between Iran-backed Houthis and Israel amid regional tensions.

Yesterday Mahdi al-Mashat, head of the Houthi terrorist organization’s Supreme Political Council, issued a chilling warning of widespread retaliation following Israeli airstrikes on Houthi-controlled ports in Yemen earlier that day. Al-Mashat vowed that Houthi attacks on Israel would be “calculated, effective, and vital,” ensuring their forces maintain “advantage and control over the confrontation scene.” He ominously advised foreign embassies in Tel Aviv near “legitimate targets” to urge Israel’s government to relocate them to safer distances, stating, “If the enemy government does not respond to an embassy’s request, we advise it to close and leave so that the enemy does not expose it to danger.”
The threats followed a Houthi missile launch toward Israel, which triggered air raid sirens across southern and central regions. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) reported the missile was “most likely intercepted,” with no impact near Ben Gurion Airport, despite Houthi claims.
Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree claimed responsibility, asserting the group targeted Ben Gurion Airport with two ballistic missiles “hypersonic Palestine 2” and a “Zulfiqar” and insisted one struck the airport directly. “By the grace of Allah, the operation successfully achieved its goal, forcing millions of occupying Zionists to flee to shelters and halting air traffic at the airport,” Saree boasted, though interceptor debris fell south of Jerusalem with no reported damage.
He reiterated a supposed ban on air traffic, warning airlines to “immediately halt all flights to and from the airport” and declared Haifa Port a new target in retaliation for Israel’s strikes. Since May 2025, Houthi missiles have repeatedly targeted Ben Gurion, with a May 4 strike injuring six and disrupting flights. Israel’s retaliatory strikes, including a May 6 attack disabling Sanaa’s airport, aim to curb Iran-backed Houthi aggression, which has launched 41 missiles at Israel since March, exploiting Gaza’s conflict to bolster their regional influence. The Houthis’ defiance risks further escalation, threatening civilian safety and regional stability.
