After UN spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric referred to videos documenting Gazan civilians breaking into the humanitarian aid distribution compound in the Gaza Strip and described them as "heartbreaking," the IDF is responding and claiming that there are hundreds more aid trucks waiting to enter.

It should be recalled that according to the UN spokesperson, the images "reflect the distress" among the civilian population. "We are following the images from one of the distribution centers in Gaza, and the images are heartbreaking," Dujarric said. "As the UN Secretary-General said over the weekend, we and our partners are ready with a humanitarian plan in cooperation with donor countries that will address the urgent need for aid in the Strip."

However, on the other hand, the IDF updated that more than 400 humanitarian aid trucks are waiting for immediate collection by the UN at Kerem Shalom. In an appeal to the UN, Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories Major General Ghassan Alian said that "Israel opened the crossing to the Strip, enabled and expanded the routes for humanitarian aid distribution and increased collection hours - you must do your work toward the residents of Gaza."

It was further reported that "UN teams refuse to come to collect and distribute aid to Gaza Strip residents despite the logistical and security arrangements made by IDF forces to coordinate the distribution of aid to residents in the Strip area."
