As political pressure mounts over the Amcha Yisrael party's electoral run and right-wing concerns grow about wasted votes, Netali Shem Tov, a candidate on Ofer Winter's slate, is clarifying the faction's political and strategic line heading into the elections.
In an interview with Channel 24, Shem Tov addressed the question of whom the party would recommend to form the next government and her relationship with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu: "We'll recommend Netanyahu and sit with him – but we don't work for him, we work for the people of Israel."
At the same time, she drew clear boundaries with the haredi parties and emphasized the need for independent political strength that can hold firm in coalition negotiations. "The stronger we are, the less we'll have to surrender to Goldknopf's extortion," she said.
