Polymarket: Israel's next PM isn't Bibi

International betting platform gives former IDF chief Gadi Eisenkot 52% odds to form the next government, with Netanyahu trailing at 28%

Eisenkot and Netanyahu

With two days to go before Israelis vote for the 26th Knesset, the international prediction platform Polymarket is showing a dramatic forecast for who will become the country's next prime minister.

According to the platform's data, former IDF chief of staff and Yashar party chairman Gadi Eisenkot leads by a wide margin, with 52% odds to form the next government and replace Benjamin Netanyahu as prime minister. Netanyahu, the sitting prime minister, trails in second place with just 28% odds.

The platform's betting market has drawn heavy trading volume around the question of Israel's next prime minister, with hundreds of thousands of dollars flowing through the cryptocurrency-based system.

Obviously, these are figures from an international betting platform reflecting the assessments of traders and investors worldwide, not an official opinion poll representing a sample of Israeli voters ahead of election day.
