Under the new rate structure, visitors parking in Jerusalem city center will pay 22 shekels per hour, Instead of the current 18 shekels payment- a 22 percent increase. In other areas of the city, rates will rise from 12 to 15 shekels per hour- marking a 25 percent price jump.
The Talpiyot area will maintain its current rate of 12 shekels per hour, providing parking relief for residents, visitors, and business owners in Jerusalem's industrial area, which is currently undergoing extensive infrastructure development work.
Jerusalem residents enrolled in the "Yerushalmi" website special discount program will continue paying just 11 shekels per hour at all municipal parking facilities, unchanged from current rates, and keep enjoying one hour of free parking with evrey parking application operation after advanced registration. Charges will continue to be calculated by actual minutes used, as required by law.
This discount represents significant savings for residents, especially given the sharp increases for general visitors. A resident parking in the city center will pay roughly half what an out-of-town visitor pays, a difference of 11 shekels per hour.
The updated rates apply to all municipal parking lots operated by the Eden company and take effect immediately Tuesday morning. Jerusalem residents and tourists advised to note the changes and set their way accordingly.
