Jordan Valley Wildfires: Aircraft Battle Multiple Blazes

Firefighters from the Samaria regional station, supported by teams from neighboring districts, are currently battling a wildfire that broke out near Argaman, a community in the Jordan Valley. Crews on the ground are confronting an extensive fire line that is advancing toward the settlement's date palm orchards.

Due to severe weather conditions and the fire's rapid rate of spread, authorities have dispatched four firefighting aircraft from the "Elad" squadron to assist ground forces. The aerial units are conducting water drops while ground crews work to contain the blaze's advance, utilizing engineering equipment to create firebreaks.

Series of Jordan Valley Fires

The Argaman fire is the latest in a series of major wildfires that have struck the Jordan Valley in recent days. Over the past three days, firefighting forces have responded to multiple significant blazes that erupted across grazing lands, agricultural areas, and nature reserves throughout the region.

Judea Sector Under Control

While operations continue in the Jordan Valley, Fire and Rescue Services reported that crews have gained control over a separate incident at Kerem Hamami Farm in the Judea sector. Firefighters will remain on site in the coming hours to conduct mop-up operations and prevent any rekindling of the fire.

In recent days, firefighting teams in Judea and Samaria have responded to several additional fire incidents, including a blaze at Hill 26 north of Kiryat Arba, a fire at Beit Dror in the southern Hebron Hills, and a fire along Route 5 in Samaria that began when a vehicle caught fire and spread to open terrain.
