Feiglin Proposes United Right-Wing Bloc

Zehut party leader reverses course, proposing joint run with Ben-Gvir, Smotrich and Winter after previously vowing independent campaign

Moshe Feiglin, leader of the Zehut party, appeared on Galei Israel radio Monday and surprised listeners by calling for a unified electoral slate with other right-wing figures. Feiglin proposed running together with Bezalel Smotrich, Itamar Ben-Gvir, and Ofer Winter in what he termed "one large technical bloc."

The proposal marks a shift for Feiglin, who had previously declared his intention to run independently. Speaking on air, he explained the rationale: "We would be happy to run in one large technical bloc with Smotrich, Ben-Gvir, and Winter. We also know from polls we've conducted that running with Smotrich, for example, could achieve 10 mandates."

Feiglin framed the proposal as a strategic necessity, pointing to unity efforts by other political camps. "It cannot be that the Arabs united, that the left united — and only on our side of the right, everyone runs separately," he said. He acknowledged that similar overtures a year ago were rebuffed, but expressed hope for a different outcome this time. Feiglin emphasized that Zehut would still compete independently if the unity effort fails, adding: "Only in the case that the sun doesn't rise — we won't submit our candidacy."
