As a growing sign of Israel's commitment to increased arms manufacturing independence due to the demands of the war, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant visited the Elbit Ground Systems compound in Ramat Hasharon to view the ramped up ammunition production up close, according to a statement by the Defense Ministry.

While there, Gallant said that “One of the important lessons we learned during this war is the importance of blue and white manufacturing of weapons and we are greatly strengthening this issue. The defense industry is investing more and more in blue and white products…any money reaching the defense industry is directed to uses we really need – first and foremost, for armaments. They are working here 24 hours round the clock, from the workers in the factories doing exceptional work to the managers to the level of the Defense Ministry Director-General, who is also working 24/7 to bring these results.”
