Yair Lapid: We will provide a Knesset "safety net" for a hostage deal

The opposition leader said that his party would prevent Netanyahu's government from falling if he moved ahead with a hostage deal and Smotrich and Ben Gvir left the coalition.

Speaking to his party's Knesset faction today (Monday), Yesh Atid leader Yair Lapid said that Prime Minister Netanyahu does not have to choose between being Prime Minister and moving forward with a hostage deal.

According to Lapid, if Smotrich and Ben Gvir's parties leave the coalition over the deal, Yesh Atid would provide Netanyahu's now minority coalition with a "safety net" of votes to pass the deal.
