Report: IDF waiting for "operational opportunity" to hit Hezbollah

The IDF is reportedly considering a number of factors before striking, including the presence of non-combatants or high-level targets at a selected site.

The IDF is reportedly waiting for an "operational opportunity" to "hurt Hezbollah" in a retaliatory strike for the attack in Majdal Shams, according to Ynet.

Two considerations regarding when and how to strike are the presence of non-combatants and high-value targets at any given location.

Speaking to Druze at Majdal Shams earlier today (Monday), Prime Minister Netanyahu said that "The State of Israel will not, and cannot, ignore this. Our response will come and it will be severe."
