Saudi continues shifting back and forth

Following Israel's advances: Saudi Arabia makes a move against Israel

Is the peace agreement moving further away? After Israel took advantage of the situation in Syria and captured the Syrian Golan Heights, Saudi Arabia condemned the move and claimed that Israel is undermining Syria's chances of restoring its security.

The Saudi Foreign Ministry addressed Israel's occupation of the Syrian Golan Heights last night (Monday) and stated that "Saudi Arabia condemns the Israeli takeover of the buffer zone in the Golan Heights – and claims that this reflects its determination to undermine Syria's chances of restoring its security, stability, and territorial integrity."

Let us remind you that the day before yesterday (Sunday), after the fall of the Assad regime, IDF forces took control of the Jabal al-Sheikh outpost in the Syrian Hermon, after Assad's army forces withdrew from it. At the same time, the Saudi network "Al Hadath" claimed that "the Israeli army took control of sites in the demarcation area of the ceasefire line between Israel and Syria."

At the same time, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights claimed that "Israel infiltrated various points in the rural area of Quneitra using tanks and armored vehicles." In media outlets associated with the Syrian opposition, it was reported that talks are underway for an agreement between Russia and Israel, in which strategic sites in the rural areas of Daraa and Quneitra will be handed over to Israeli forces.
