Wathiq al-Battat, commander of the pro-Iranian Mukhtar Army militia in Iraq, gave an interview today (Tuesday) to Arab media, where he explained why Iraq had ceased attacking Israel with drones, according to Kann reporter Roi Kais.
Al-Battat said that if Israel attacks Iraq, "the Iraqi resistance has the ability to drown Israel in spit and urine. If every Iraqi from the resistance, not every Iraqi, goes and spits, and urinates, Israel will drown and disappear.
When asked why they don't do so, anyway, he responded that "the Iranians aren't interested." Other reports point to American and Iraqi state pressure as being the main reason Iraqi militias have stopped launching drones at Israel as part of the Iranian effort to maintain multiple fronts against the country.
