The outgoing President of the United States, Joe Biden, referred last night to the ceasefire negotiations in Gaza and the release of hostages, and said that he is optimistic about the chances of reaching an agreement.

Biden said last night that "there is real progress," and even stated that "it can be done before January 20." Additionally, Biden pointed an accusing finger at the Hamas terrorist organization, saying it is obstructing the breakthrough in negotiations and progress in the agreement.

Meanwhile, families of hostages met last night with the head of the captives and missing persons office in the Prime Minister's Office, Gal Hirsch. In their meeting, Hirsch told the family representatives that the agreement currently being negotiated in Qatar concerns all the hostages, despite its division into stages. According to him, the goal is that in the two weeks following the implementation of the first stage, discussions will begin on the details of the second stage.

Hirsch also referred to the changes in the American administration, stating that there is continuous communication with both the outgoing and incoming administrations to ensure a complete overlap with the inauguration of the elected president Donald Trump in the White House.
