Eliav Abuksis and Shahaf Danino were killed in a fatal car accident yesterday at the Eshel Hanasi junction, near Be'er Sheva, four months before their wedding.

The accident occurred on their way back from a trip to the Gaza envelope, where they were picking strawberries together with friends. The fatal accident occurred on Route 310 in the direction of the settlement of Omer.

Footage from the car's camera shows a jeep attempting an illegal overtaking move along a continuous separation line and colliding with the couple's car. Three people were moderately injured in the incident, and one was in light condition. The injured in the vehicle were residents of Arara in the Negev. The police are investigating the circumstances of the accident.

MDA paramedic Uri Ohayon said: "This is a very serious car accident. We saw the man trapped and the woman next to the car, unconscious. We performed medical examinations, but the injuries were critical and we had to pronounce them dead on the spot."

Noy, a close friend of Shahaf's, who was riding in the car in front of the couple with her husband, wrote painfully: "I'm shattered, I'm broken. Shahaf was the other half of my heart... We were together minutes before the accident, happy and smiling. You should have been married in four months, I should have been your escort. Why did this happen to us?"

"Shahaf waited a long time for the engagement," Noy painfully told Ynet. "They were together for two years and we were all happy when they got engaged. We started planning the wedding. They had already done the design of the invitations, and she chose the wedding dress and they had already closed the hall and the DJ. She was supposed to get married in June. Her biggest dream was to have children. She was crazy about my child, and she was a person with a huge heart, the main thing is that others will be good. My children keep asking me, 'Where's Shahaf? Where's Shahaf?'"
