Hostage’s Heartbreaking Message: ‘"Life Goes On While We’re Stuck in Captivity“

Shocking Confession from Released Hostage: "Reality Shows Played While We Suffered in Gaza”

In an emotional interview, Racheli Rabinovitch, the aunt of hostage Agam Berger, shared heartbreaking details about Agam’s captivity and the toll it took on her. Less than a week after Agam's release from Hamas captivity, the public is being exposed to chilling testimonies from hostages about their harrowing experiences.

One particularly powerful story revolves around Agam’s reaction to seeing the world moving on while she and others remained trapped in Gaza.

During a conversation with Keren Neubach on Reshet Bet's "Seder Yom" program, Rabinovitch revealed the profound impact of media exposure on the hostages. “They saw reality shows like 'The Next Star' and 'Survivor' airing on television in Gaza. It was a stark reminder of how life continued normally in Israel while they were enduring unimaginable suffering. The contrast was jarring," she explained.

Agam, who spent months in captivity and witnessed the death of friends, expressed her deep anger about the situation. “She said that just because they are back physically, it doesn’t mean they’re truly home. Their souls are still in Gaza,” Rabinovitch added. Agam and her fellow captives were exposed to media while in captivity, and this only intensified their frustration. “How is it possible that life continued as usual while we were stuck there?” Agam reportedly asked. "We must not normalize. There are people, an hour’s drive from home, who are still in Gaza."

Rabinovitch also shared Agam’s powerful message to the public: “We must not stop until the last hostage is returned. Every second, every minute, in captivity is hell. We cannot give up on them,” Agam said. Her words reflect the profound emotional scars left by her experience and the ongoing fight to bring every last captive home.

As the rehabilitation process begins for Agam and the other freed hostages, their painful journey is far from over. Rabinovitch emphasized the importance of continued awareness and support for the hostages still held captive, noting how crucial it is for families to stay vocal and ensure the world remembers their loved ones. “Keep talking, keep raising awareness. It gives strength to those still fighting for their release.”
