They're back and ready to get involved, again
Houthi leader issues violent threat to Israel: 'We’ll restart attacks if ceasefire breaks
Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, the leader of Yemen’s Houthi rebel group, issued a stern warning on Tuesday, threatening to resume attacks on Israel if the ceasefire agreement with Hamas collapses.

Al-Houthi’s comments came amid growing tensions surrounding the fragile ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, which has brought temporary relief but is now facing challenges.
"If the ceasefire deal with Hamas falls through and Israel resumes its strikes in Gaza, we are ready to begin attacks on Israel," al-Houthi declared. His threat underscores the volatile nature of the situation, where multiple parties, including the Houthis, are involved in a broader regional conflict tied to the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian tensions.
Under the current ceasefire agreement, Israel has withdrawn from the Netzarim Corridor, increased humanitarian aid to Gaza, and agreed to release convicted terrorists in exchange for hostages held by Hamas. For each civilian returned, Israel is releasing 30 terrorists, while for each soldier, it’s 50 terrorists. However, Hamas recently announced a delay in the hostage release, accusing Israel of violating the agreement. This development has put the ceasefire on shaky ground.
Al-Houthi did not stop at just issuing threats against Israel but also reiterated his group's broader support for the Palestinian cause. He stated that the Houthis would "stand alongside the Lebanese nation" if Israel decides to escalate the situation, signaling their readiness to intervene militarily if needed. The Houthi leader also criticized the Palestinian Authority, accusing it of cooperating with Israel during the conflict.
In his remarks, al-Houthi stressed that Israel’s reliance on American support would not help achieve its goals if it escalates the conflict. He warned that any such escalation would be met with fierce resistance, particularly from Palestinian factions. His words highlight the complexity of the ongoing conflict, where various regional actors are deeply invested in the outcome.
