The Binyamin Regional Council stated:
It is with great sadness that we announce the death in battle of Yona Ephraim (Efi) Feldbaum, a resident of Zeit Raanan - Neriah, in Binjamin.
Efi, 37, a father of five, lived in the community and worked as a contractor in the area. During the war, he harnessed his abilities to significant reserve service in the Gaza Strip. Efi is the 59th fallen member of the Binjamin Council.
His friends in the community say that "Efi was very well-known and loved throughout the area. He worked a lot in the young settlement. Efi was connected to the land of Israel and fell while working to protect it."
The head of the Binyamin Council and the chairman of the Yesha Council, Yisrael Gantz, paid tribute to him: "Efi fought on the front lines of the war in Gaza and continued to do so even after the declaration of the ceasefire, which was repeatedly violated by Hamas terrorists.
On behalf of all the residents of Binyamin, I send condolences to his wife Shulamit, his children and his entire family. Thanks to Efi's heroism and sacrifice, the people of Israel will prevail. The people of Israel are not afraid of a long road"
