Fatal Crash in Panama: Israeli Woman Killed, Multiple Israelis Hospitalized
An Israeli citizen was killed and several others were seriously injured in a collision between a shuttle minibus and a bus in La Chorrera, Panama.

A severe road accident in the city of La Chorrera, Panama, has claimed the life of an Israeli woman and left several other Israelis injured, according to a report by Israel Hayom.
The Incident
The accident involved a head-on collision between a shuttle minibus and a bus. According to ZAKA, the Israeli woman was killed instantly at the scene. Several other Israelis were rescued from the wreckage and evacuated to a local hospital in conditions ranging from moderate to serious.
Emergency Response
Israel Hayom added that immediately following the report at the ZAKA emergency hotline (1223), the organization’s international division coordinated with local teams in Panama. ZAKA volunteers are currently operating both at the crash site and the hospital to assist the survivors and their families.
Baruch Niedam, Director of ZAKA’s International Division, stated:
"We are working closely with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to ensure the deceased is returned to Israel for burial as quickly as possible and to arrange medical flights for the injured so they can continue their treatment in Israel."
Yosef Dovir, ZAKA Commander in Panama, who is managing the scene, added that teams are working with local authorities to ensure Kevod HaMet (honor for the deceased) and to collect findings from the site.
Diplomatic Coordination
The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been notified and is facilitating the complex logistical process of repatriating the victim and providing consular assistance to the wounded. Local authorities in Panama are reportedly cooperating at maximum speed to release the casualties to Israel.
