Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz announced Wednesday that IDF forces eliminated Mohammed Abu Alwan, head of Hamas's finance department, in a strike in Khan Younis.
In a joint statement, the two leaders praised the IDF and Shin Bet security service "for the precise operation and for their offensive activity to thwart our enemies."
"We continue to pursue Hamas commanders and operatives, strike its funding sources, and destroy terror infrastructure," Netanyahu and Katz said. "We will not allow Hamas to rebuild its strength, and we will not stop until there is no Hamas in Gaza."
