National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, chairman of the Otzma Yehudit party, came face to face with arch-terrorist Hassan Salama during a professional tour of one of Israel's prisons. Salama is a senior Hamas operative and associate of Yahya Sinwar.
Ben Gvir told the terrorist that when he is appointed defense minister, he will have him executed. Salama was responsible for the 1996 suicide bombings on Jerusalem's Bus 18 line, in which 46 people were murdered Hy"d.
After the visit, Ben Gvir described the encounter as "closing a huge circle for me." He said: "As a young man, I stood in the streets and demonstrated after the terrible Bus 18 attacks in Jerusalem. Dozens of innocent people were murdered, and entire families were destroyed."
"About two weeks ago I arrived at the prison and met face to face with the arch-terrorist Hassan Salama, one of Hamas's senior operatives, the friend and partner of Yahya Sinwar yemach shemo, who was sent by the accursed Mohammed Deif yemach shemo to Judea and Samaria to organize those bus bombings."
"I told him that the young man who demonstrated then in the streets is today the minister of national security, and I looked the Satan in the eyes. He trembled and was frightened --- and he has good reason to be."
Ben Gvir added: "As minister of national security, I led a policy that turned his life into hell. And with Hashem's help, as defense minister, I will work to ensure that murderous terrorists like him are executed, and I will advance the policy of emigration from Gaza and from Judea and Samaria."
