Cable damaged near Gan Hapa'amon station; service running only between Neve Yaakov and Kikar Danya while crews work to restore power • Replacement buses deployed on multiple routes
Service on Jerusalem's light rail was suspended Monday after a power cable was damaged near the Gan Hapa'amon station. Maintenance crews are working at the site under safety protocols, and the line is operating only partially.
According to the announcement, trains are running temporarily between Neve Yaakov–Tzafon and Kikar Danya only. Passengers traveling to or from Hadassah Ein Kerem must use replacement bus lines that have been deployed.
For passengers heading toward Hadassah Ein Kerem, several replacement bus routes are operating from Chalutz station (the bus stop at Ish Shalom Street corner of Perbstein, stop number 5834): Line 27/27a serves stations from Yefe Nof through Hadassah Ein Kerem; Line 33 runs to Yefe Nof and Har Herzl; Line 35 covers stations from Yefe Nof to Gan Hapa'amon; Lines 91 and 505 go to Yefe Nof; and Line 16 serves Har Herzl.
For passengers coming from Hadassah Ein Kerem, the following lines are operating: Line 27 runs from Hadassah Ein Kerem to Kikar Danya; Line 19 runs from Hadassah Ein Kerem to Gan Hapa'amon and continues to the city center (Davidka); Line 35 operates from Gan Hapa'amon to Kikar Danya; Line 16 runs from Har Herzl station (Pis'ga Street) and Yefe Nof to Kikar Danya; and Line 91 runs from Yefe Nof to Kikar Danya.
From the Central Station (stop A2-5100 on Jaffa Street opposite the light rail station), Line 27/27a serves Kiryat Moshe, Chalutz, Yefe Nof, and Har Herzl through Hadassah Ein Kerem, and Line 39 runs to Kiryat Moshe, Yefe Nof, and Har Herzl. In the direction from Hadassah Ein Kerem, Line 27 operates between Hadassah Ein Kerem and the Central Station; Line 19 runs from Hadassah Ein Kerem to Gan Hapa'amon and the city center (Davidka); Line 35 operates from Gan Hapa'amon to Chalutz; Line 39 runs from Yefe Nof to the Central Station; Line 16 operates from Har Herzl (Pis'ga Street), Yefe Nof, and Kikar Danya to Chalutz; and Line 91 runs from Yefe Nof and Kikar Danya to Chalutz.
