Eighteen people were lightly injured Tuesday morning in a multi-vehicle collision on Route 6 northbound near Eiron Junction, when eight vehicles crashed into one another.

Emergency calls reporting the accident came in shortly before publication. First responders arriving at the scene found multiple casualties and began treating them on site before evacuating them to Hillel Yaffe Medical Center in Hadera.

Magen David Adom said its teams treated 18 people, all in light condition. Ten were taken to Hillel Yaffe, and eight others were evacuated to another hospital.

Traffic police and accident investigators from the Menashe District arrived at the scene and began handling the crash and clearing the vehicles. The northbound highway was closed to allow emergency crews to work and remove the wreckage.

Israel Police said the accident involved eight vehicles on Route 6 northbound, between Eiron Junction and Ein Tut Junction. Accident investigators from the Menashe District are handling the scene, and the road is currently closed to traffic.

Drivers are asked to avoid the area, follow police instructions, and use alternate routes.
