Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed during a visit to the Tel Nof air base that there are signs enemies may attempt to attack Israel in the near future, ahead of the election campaign. Netanyahu did not specify from which direction the threat is coming or whether it is a concrete threat. He did, however, direct a warning message to Israel's enemies.
"I am here at the air base with our heroic pilots and our wonderful ground crews," the Prime Minister said. "We are operating constantly on all fronts: the day before yesterday we eliminated the despicable terrorist who abducted Noa Argamani and Avinatan Or. We brought them back, we eliminated him. Last night we eliminated the Hamas brigade commander in the northern Strip. He joined his predecessors, whom we also eliminated. In total, in recent weeks we have eliminated more than 100 terrorists, and that's just in Gaza. Of course we are also operating in Lebanon, you remember what we did to the Ali Taher ridge.
There are great achievements, but there is also great pressure, and the pressure is to retreat, to give up the great achievements that were gained through the bravery of our fighters. I am not letting that happen, and I will not let that happen.
And one more thing: we have signs that ahead of the elections our enemies will try to attack us. So from here, from the air base, from the long arm of the State of Israel, I am sending you a message: don't mess with us, not now and not ever. Our long arm will reach you anywhere, anytime."
