Kan 11 legal correspondent Shelly Tapiero addressed the controversy surrounding anchor Ayala Hasson in an interview on Galei Israel radio.
"The Broadcasting Corporation is the source of livelihood for me and my children," Tepeiero said. "At the same time, I wrote: 'Know from where you came, and where you are going, and before Whom you are destined to give an accounting.' What does a journalist have besides the truth? I cannot say more than that."
"I can say [that] Ayala certainly does not need my words, first and foremost, she is an outstanding journalist! Beyond that I cannot say. I wish I could speak, and maybe that's the story more than anything..."
The night before, Tapiero had posted on social media: "'Know from where you came, and where you are going, and before Whom you are destined to give an accounting.' What does a journalist have besides the truth, and what does a believing person have other than the knowledge of to Whom he owes an accounting? In the not-distant past I wrote about the price of silence and the fear, but I am part of a people that does not fear a long road. A continuation will surely come."
