The Israeli government is planning to approve the appointment of Tzipi Hotovely during its meeting today, with the move set to take effect next week. Hotovely, who recently concluded a highly regarded term as Israel's Ambassador to the United Kingdom, will lead the National Public Diplomacy Directorate within the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO). In this role, she will head the efforts to revitalize the nation's international messaging and strategic communication.

The decision to appoint Hotovely comes at a critical time, as the role of national diplomacy chief has been vacant for the past two years.

Her appointment reflects a renewed focus by the government on sharpening Israel's voice on the world stage. In her new capacity, she will be responsible for synchronizing the nation's narrative across all global media platforms, ensuring a unified and proactive response to misinformation and diplomatic challenges facing the state.

Hotovely’s extensive background as a cabinet minister, Member of Knesset, and senior diplomat has made her one of the most prominent voices for Israel internationally. During her tenure in London, she earned widespread appreciation for her eloquent and firm defense of Israeli policy in influential global forums. Her transition back to Jerusalem is seen as a key move to provide professional and experienced leadership to the PMO's public diplomacy apparatus, further strengthening Israel's global standing.
