Terrorist's Admission Closes Investigation
Terrorist Confession: Tzuba Hotel Stabber Admits "I Stabbed Them Because They Are Jews"
A terrorist who stabbed two people at a Kibbutz Tzuba hotel, seriously injuring one, admitted to police that he carried out the attack "because they are Jews." The admission of hate-fuelled motive was revealed in a prosecutorial statement filed today, which paves the way for a formal indictment.

The perpetrator of a recent stabbing attack at a hotel in Kibbutz Tzuba will soon face indictment after admitting to investigators that his motive was anti-Jewish hate. A prosecutorial statement was filed this morning against the terrorist, who seriously injured one victim and moderately injured another in the attack that took place in the hotel's dining hall.
The assailant, a man in his 40s and a maintenance worker at the hotel, is a resident of East Jerusalem. The attack occurred two weeks ago on a Friday afternoon while numerous guests were present for the weekend. The man allegedly seized a knife from the premises and stabbed two individuals before he was quickly subdued.
During interrogation at the Jerusalem District Investigation Unit, the attacker made a chilling admission, stating his explicit motive: “I stabbed them because they are Jews and because I wanted them to shoot me after I stabbed them.” Eyewitnesses also reported hearing the assailant shout “Allahu Akbar” during the attack, which only lasted moments before the terrorist was stopped.
The quick and determined response of a police officer who happened to be on vacation at the hotel, along with other civilians, prevented further tragedy. One of the victims was a relative of the off-duty officer, who described jumping on the attacker without time to draw his weapon.
The two victims were evacuated to the hospital, with one suffering serious injuries and the other moderate injuries.
Jerusalem District Commander, Commissioner Amir Arzi, praised the heroic actions of the officer and the civilians, crediting their quick intervention with saving lives. Arzi stated that their determination “prevented further danger to the many guests present.”
Following the completion of the investigation, the Jerusalem District Prosecutor’s Office filed the prosecutorial statement this morning. The statement sets the stage for the formal indictment, which is expected to be submitted against the attacker in the coming days. The legal proceedings will focus on the hate-motivated nature of the attack, which targeted innocent civilians in a public space.
