An alarming escalation in regional tensions has emerged after a prominent Iraqi militia group issued a direct, multi-million-dollar bounty targeting the President of the United States. The official announcement of the bounty was immediately amplified by state-aligned media channels inside Iran, which published highly specific details on the president's daily movements. This coordinated effort highlights a severe, direct threat emanating from regional proxies and state-backed media networks.
The Islamic Resistance in Iraq released a formal statement declaring a 10 million dollar financial reward dedicated to anyone who successfully kills President Donald Trump. According to the translated text of the statement, the militia group asserted that the massive sum was "collected from donations of its loyal and proud sons and supporters, designated for whoever kills the criminal Trump, or whoever assists in locating him or directing toward him, whether an individual, group, or organization." The declaration was formally dated July 16, 2026.
In the official statement, the group framed the bounty as a direct act of vengeance for past military events in Iraq, specifically citing the targeted killing of key regional commanders. The militia declared that "the most eloquent evidence of the moral downfall of the American administration is the arrogance of the criminal Trump in targeting the leaders of victory, the martyrs Qasem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis." They vowed that "the free people of the world will pursue the killer of children and scholars," promising that the president would find no safe haven from their wrath.
Almost simultaneously, Iran's semi-official Fars News Agency published a highly provocative post on social media to directly assist in the effort. The outlet shared an image featuring a blood-red silhouette of Donald Trump's profile alongside the words "Where to Kill Trump?!" printed in a dripping, blood-like font.
The social media post, which was shared on the platform X, was accompanied by a caption stating that they were releasing "information on the locations where the terrorist President of America is present," explicitly telling its followers that "access to Trump is possible in these locations." This direct sharing of potential target locations by a state-affiliated agency represents an unprecedented move in the ongoing war of words and covert operations between Washington and Tehran.
Security officials are treating these synchronized threats with the utmost seriousness as American military operations continue across the region. With the Islamic Resistance in Iraq offering massive financial incentives and Iranian state media providing geographical guides, federal protective agencies are expected to significantly increase security measures surrounding the president to counter these explicit calls for violence.
