President Donald Trump has issued a dramatic televised address to the American people announcing the launch of a widespread military operation against the Iranian regime. Describing the campaign as deep and extensive, the President outlined decades of grievances against Tehran and promised that the freedom of the Iranian people is near. The American component of the joint operation is officially codenamed Epic Fury.
The President opened his remarks by confirming that U.S. forces began large-scale military actions a short time ago. He stated that the objective is the protection of the American people by eliminating immediate threats from the Iranian leadership, whom he described as a brutal group whose actions directly endanger U.S. personnel and citizens.
During the speech, Trump reviewed 47 years of Iranian hostility toward the United States and Israel. He cited the 1979 embassy takeover, the 1983 Beirut Marine barracks bombing, and the killing of hundreds of American service members in Iraq. He specifically linked Iran to the October 7 attacks on Israel, noting that 46 Americans were among the more than 1,000 people killed in that assault.
The President issued a firm vow that the radical regime would never possess a nuclear weapon. He explained that despite previous American actions during Operation Midnight Hammer last June, Iran had attempted to rebuild its capabilities. This current intervention is intended to ensure such efforts are permanently halted. Trump further declared that a primary goal of Epic Fury is the total destruction of the regime’s missile industry and the neutralization of its regional terror proxies.
