Russia Caught Providing Target Info to Iran for Attacks on U.S. Troops
Russia is reportedly bypassing its neutrality to give Iran targeting data on U.S. Navy ships and aircraft. Amidst the chaos of "Operation Epic Fury," this Russian-Iranian axis marks a dangerous new chapter in the war for the Middle East.

Russia is providing Iran with critical targeting intelligence to assist in strikes against American military assets in the Middle East, according to a report by The Washington Post citing three officials familiar with the matter.
This intelligence, which includes the real-time locations of U.S. warships and aircraft, marks the first significant, albeit indirect, involvement of another global superpower in the rapidly expanding regional conflict.
The Intelligence Partnership
U.S. officials state that Moscow has been transmitting data to Tehran since the outbreak of hostilities. This support has become increasingly vital for the Iranian regime because:
* Degraded Capabilities: U.S. intelligence suggests that Iran's independent ability to track American forces was significantly crippled during the opening days of the joint U.S.-Israeli campaign, known as Operation Epic Fury.
* Precision Strikes: Analysts point to the high accuracy of recent Iranian strikes on U.S. early-warning radars and command centers as evidence of advanced satellite and intelligence support, capabilities that Russia possesses in abundance.
The report follows a series of lethal Iranian attacks across the Gulf. On Sunday, March 1, an Iranian drone strike on a U.S. facility in Port Shuaiba, Kuwait, killed six American servicemen.
Additional strikes have been reported against:
* Saudi Arabia: An Iranian drone recently struck the CIA station at the U.S. Embassy in Riyadh.
* UAE & Bahrain: Iranian projectiles have targeted the U.S. Navy’s 5th Fleet headquarters in Bahrain and locations near the U.S. Consulate in Dubai.
While Russia provides intelligence, officials noted that China does not appear to be offering direct military assistance to Iran despite their close diplomatic ties.
The White House has refrained from commenting directly on the Russian intelligence-sharing but remains confident in the military campaign's progress. White House spokesperson Anna Kelly stated today that the Iranian regime is being "absolutely crushed," noting that its naval power is being heavily degraded and its retaliatory ballistic missile launches are decreasing in frequency.
Experts suggest that while Moscow is willing to provide intelligence to drain U.S. resources and distract from the war in Ukraine, the Kremlin remains cautious about direct military intervention. For Russia, the Ukrainian theater remains the primary strategic priority.
