NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg celebrated Sweden's official ascension to the military alliance on X/Twitter today (Thursday), saying that he looked forward to raising Sweden's flags alongside the flags of other allies at NATO HQ on Monday:

Sweden thus joins with Finland, who joined the alliance last year, in abandoning a robust stance of neutrality which they adhered to in WWII and the Cold War, and triggered by Russia's full scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
