Former adviser: "Trump said Hitler did good things"

Advisers who worked under former President Trump testified to the president's unusual statements, which included sympathy for Hitler and compliments for Putin and N. Korean dictator Kim Jong Un.

According to a CNN report this morning (Tuesday), advisers who worked with former President Donald Trump testified that they often heard Trump complimenting Adolf Hitler.

According to the report, John Kelly, who served as Chief of Staff in the White House at the time, testified to a controversial statement by Trump who said that, "Hitler did some good things...he rebuilt the economy." According to Kelly, Trump also expressed appreciation for senior Nazi Party officers loyal to their leader. In response, Kelly said he told him that, "You can never say good things about Hitler."

"Putin is fine and so is Kim"

At the same time, other advisers recounted compliments that Trump gave to other world leaders, including calling the President of China Xi Jinping "brilliant", and North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un "a good guy". His advisers said that he often complimented Russian President Vladimir Putin as well - this after Trump described him last July as "smarter than President Biden" during an interview with the Fox News Network.

As you may remember, former President Trump is currently running for another term in office after losing the previous election to incumbent President Joe Biden. Last week, Trump won more than 14 states in the GOP primaries, effectively securing the nomination of the Republican Party for the third time in a row after Nikki Haley withdrew from the race.
