Trump: The War Will Be Over Soon

Iran had better take note. Trump is sick of their closing the Strait of Hormuz and he is about to go all in, guns blazing.

President Donald Trump has delivered a blunt new ultimatum to Iran, declaring that the United States is in “serious discussions with a new and more reasonable regime” to end American military operations, but warning that failure to reach a quick agreement and immediately reopen the Strait of Hormuz will trigger total destruction of Iran’s critical energy and water infrastructure.

In remarks that spread rapidly on social media within the past hour, Trump stated:

“The United States is in serious discussions with a new and more reasonable regime to end our military operations in Iran. If an agreement is not reached soon, and if the Strait of Hormuz is not opened immediately, we will completely destroy all power generation stations, oil wells and Kharg Island, and perhaps also all desalination facilities.”

Trump says that Operation Epic Fury has achieved effective “regime change” in Iran. He has repeatedly explained that the “really evil” original leadership is “mostly dead” and that Washington is now dealing with a “third group of people” who are “much more reasonable.”

The latest ultimatum escalates the pressure on Tehran following weeks of U.S. and Israeli strikes that have already crippled much of Iran’s navy and air force, according to Trump’s earlier statements.

Kharg Island is Iran’s largest oil export terminal, handling roughly 90% of the country’s crude oil shipments. The Strait of Hormuz is the narrow chokepoint through which about 20% of global oil passes. Attacks and harassment in the area have already driven up global energy prices sharply.

Israeli defense analyst Doron Kadosh described it as the clear “endgame,” writing: “The war in Iran will be over soon, one way or another… either the Iranians fold and sign, or they get the final blow.”

The White House has not yet released an official transcript, but the president’s words have already triggered a wave of reactions across X, with analysts interpreting them as a final warning before a possible decisive round of strikes on Iran’s remaining economic lifelines.

No immediate response has come from Iranian officials.
