U.S. Military Air Activity Spikes Over Middle East as Tensions with Iran Remain High
The combination of electronic warfare jets, heavy tanker support, and reconnaissance flights suggests the U.S. is keeping maximum pressure on Iran while staying prepared for rapid escalation if needed

Aviation monitors have captured a notable surge in American air operations across the region today, including a rare public sighting of a U.S. Navy EA-18G Growler electronic warfare jet departing from Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan.
The EA-18G Growler, America’s premier jamming and electronic attack aircraft, was spotted taking off from the key U.S. forward base in eastern Jordan. Growlers are designed to disrupt enemy radar and communications, making them a critical asset in any potential strike package against heavily defended targets.
Adding to the activity:
Muwaffaq Salti Air Base has become one of the most important U.S. hubs in the current standoff, hosting F-35s, F-15Es, and other strike assets. The presence of Growlers there signals heightened readiness for electronic warfare operations.
This burst of visible air activity comes as the U.S. maintains a massive military footprint in the Middle East, with multiple carrier strike groups, amphibious ready groups (including the recently arrived USS Boxer), and forward-deployed aircraft positioned to respond to any Iranian moves, particularly around the Strait of Hormuz and Kharg Island.
