USS Idaho (SSN-799) Joins the Fleet - America’s New Silent Predator is Ready | WATCH
Virginia-class boats are among the quietest subs ever built, perfect for hunting enemy vessels, launching Tomahawks, inserting special ops teams, and gathering intel without being detected.

The U.S. Navy just added a serious sub to its undersea arsenal. The Virginia-class Block IV fast-attack submarine USS Idaho was officially commissioned Saturday at Naval Submarine Base New London, becoming the 26th boat in one of the most advanced sub classes on the planet.
Acting Secretary of the Navy Hung Cao nailed the moment in his remarks:
“We are a maritime nation, bordering on both the Atlantic and the Pacific. Our commerce depends on safe and secure sea lanes of communication. President Trump’s commission to our military is simple: to achieve Peace Through Strength. The USS Idaho joins the fleet ready to answer the call to action, in any ocean, at any time.”
The commissioning ceremony featured Senator James Risch (R-ID), Governor Brad Little, and other leaders, a strong showing of support for American shipbuilding and a combat-ready Navy.
Bottom line: While some talk, America is quietly building the most lethal undersea force on Earth.
