In the same engagement, three other soldiers were wounded: one in serious condition and two others in moderate condition. All wounded personnel have been evacuated to hospitals for medical treatment, and their families have been updated.

According to a preliminary investigation, the force, operating under the Nahal Brigade Combat Team of the 162nd Division, engaged in a close-range firefight in the area of the village of Beit Lif. The encounter appears to have been a Hezbollah ambush in the western sector, north of the Israeli community of Zar'it.

The IDF continues its operations in Southern Lebanon to dismantle Hezbollah infrastructure as part of the ongoing "Lion’s Roar" campaign.

May their memories be a blessing.
