Israeli Reservist Killed by Explosive Drone Near Lebanon Border
Alexander Glovanyov, 47, from Petah Tikva, was killed after Hezbollah launched explosive drones from Lebanon into Israeli territory.

The IDF announced that Master Sergeant in reserves Alexander Glovanyov was killed near the Lebanon border.
Glovanyov, 47, from Petah Tikva, served as a heavy vehicle driver in the 6924 Transport Battalion.
The incident took place after several explosive drones were launched from Lebanon and detonated inside Israeli territory near the border.
According to the report, the attack was another Hezbollah violation of the ceasefire understandings.
Two days earlier, three reserve soldiers were wounded by explosive drones near Shlomi. One was seriously wounded, while a reserve officer and another soldier were moderately wounded.
The IDF has been working to improve protection for forces operating in southern Lebanon against drones and unmanned aircraft.
As part of those efforts, thousands of meters of fishing nets have been supplied to units in the field to help trap explosive drones before they reach troops or infrastructure.
The army is also using firing systems and additional technology to detect, warn against and neutralize aerial threats.
Despite ongoing alerts and fire in the north, the IDF said there has been no order to stop offensive operations near the border, except for limits on activity deep inside Lebanon.
