"I Won't Die For Israel": Marine Veteran’s Arm Reportedly Broken During Removal from Senate Hearing on Iran War
Marine Veteran Suffers Apparent Broken Arm in Chaotic Removal from Senate Hearing on Iran War

Dramatic video of a Marine Corps veteran protesting U.S. involvement in the war against Iran has gone viral after he suffered an apparent broken arm while being forcibly removed from a Senate Armed Services subcommittee hearing.
The incident occurred during a hearing on military readiness on March 4, 2026. Brian McGinnis, a 44-year-old former Marine who served from 2000 to 2004 (including a tour in Iraq) and a Green Party candidate for U.S. Senate in North Carolina, stood up and began shouting anti-war slogans.
“America does not want to send its sons and daughters to war for Israel!” McGinnis declared, according to video footage. He repeated similar messages, including “No one wants to fight for Israel.”
Capitol Police officers immediately moved in to remove him. Video shared by @disclosetv and viewed hundreds of thousands of times shows McGinnis resisting by grabbing onto a doorway. Republican Sen. Tim Sheehy of Montana, a former Navy SEAL serving on the committee, left his seat to assist the officers.
During the struggle, an audible snapping sound is heard on the video. McGinnis can later be heard outside the room claiming his left arm was broken. He and three Capitol Police officers received medical treatment for injuries.
U.S. Capitol Police stated that McGinnis “violently resisted” their attempts to remove him and “got his own arm stuck in a door to resist our officers and force his way back into the hearing room.” He has been arrested and faces multiple charges, including three counts of assault on a police officer, three counts of resisting arrest, and charges related to unlawful demonstration and obstructing proceedings.
In a statement on X, Sen. Sheehy said he stepped in to help de-escalate: “This gentleman came to the Capitol looking for a confrontation, and he got one. I hope he gets the help he needs without causing further violence.”
The hearing took place against the backdrop of ongoing U.S. and Israeli military operations against Iran.
