"Red-line"

Report: Netanyahu Opposes Turkish Military Presence in Gaza

Under Trump’s “20-Point Plan,” Turkey is slated to join the International Stabilization Force (ISF), but Israel’s Prime Minister calls its involvement a ‘red line.’

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is strongly opposing the entry of Turkish military forces into the Gaza Strip, despite Ankara's inclusion in U.S. President Donald Trump’s 20-Point Plan, which envisions Turkey as one of several nations participating in an International Stabilization Force (ISF) to secure the postwar territory.

According to Israeli officials, Netanyahu has made clear that Turkey’s participation is a “red line” for Jerusalem, reflecting deep mistrust between the two governments.

The Prime Minister also objects to Turkish companies taking part in the reconstruction of Gaza, a project that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has reportedly shown strong interest in leading. However, sources say that Israel and the United States are holding advanced discussions about potential economic roles for Turkish firms under strict conditions.

Strategic Tensions Over Regional Influence

As previously reported by Jfeed, Netanyahu recently warned of “new regional threats” in his Knesset address, referring specifically to Turkey and Qatar’s attempts to expand their influence in Gaza and Syria.

Both countries are seen by Israel as part of the Muslim Brotherhood Axis together with Hamas, and Netanyahu’s government fears that their involvement in Gaza’s reconstruction or governance could undermine regional stability and embolden Islamist networks.

While Trump values Erdoğan’s partnership and holds a positive view of Qatar’s diplomatic leverage, Israeli officials view both nations as destabilizing actors.
