Due to the situation in the south, the Israel Police Commissioner held a special situation assessment meeting, attended by all senior members of the organization and individuals in various roles.
According to him: "At this time, fighting is still ongoing in several areas in the south. Israeli police officers and Border Guard fighters are still engaged in close combat with the terrorists, displaying courage and determination. The Israel Police, Border Guard and Israel's National Counter Terror Unit are at the forefront of the fighting, with the goal of restoring security to the communities in the Gaza envelope and the south. Since this morning, police and Border Guard units have successfully rescued many civilians, and even now, we are on our way to rescue additional civilians from all the communities we were called to."
