With the acquisition of control over the Gaza envelope, engineering teams are working to close the breaches that have opened along the border. Additional forces are clearing the combat gear and explosives left behind by the terrorists.

War in the South. In parallel with the purification phase of the Gaza envelope from terrorists, in recent days, engineering forces have been completing the efforts to repair and seal the breaches that have opened within the security barrier between Gaza and Israel.

Additional engineering units are working on removing and neutralizing the explosives that have been hidden along the fence along the Gaza Strip border. The IDF's estimation is that these operations will continue for several more days.

As part of the engineering effort, about 4 combat platoons, with approximately 30 engineering vehicles and additional heavy engineering equipment, participated in the operation, alongside tank forces deployed along the fence.

Until the fence is closed - many forces provide observation

In parallel with the effort to repair and fortify the fences, aircraft from the Air Force, including combat helicopters and remotely piloted aircraft, provide a defensive cover for the forces. They also conduct scans in the area to ensure the security of the combat forces and the residents of the border area.
