American Pride, Israeli Shame
Skipping Israel Is the Right Move: Trump Stands Tall, Bibi Bows to His Own Failure
I’m proud to be an American. Not because America coddled Israel, but because it finally told us the truth we refused to hear.

Despite their complex history, despite public slights and personal tension, Donald Trump offered Benjamin Netanyahu a fresh page. A reset. Trump extended a hand and gave Israel a chance to correct course. Netanyahu responded not with personal humility or strategic thinking, but with typical dysfunction and self-destruction.
He told Netanyahu to destroy Hamas and flatten Gaza - he refused. He urged him to act for the release of the hostages - he refused. He presented a new vision, including the relocation of Gazans - he refused. There was no choice left: Israel must now be isolated.
Trump did what true friends do: he said what needed to be said, and when ignored, he acted.
Skipping Israel for his upcoming middle-eastern trip is a must. Preparing to publicly sideline Netanyahu during an upcoming visit will sting, and rightly so - but It’s moral cause and effect.
Israel embarrassed him on the world stage, treated him like he was disposable. And yet we still expect unconditional loyalty? That’s not friendship. That’s entitlement. Real friendship is honest. Real allies don’t nod and smile while you walk off a cliff. They act.
Netanyahu’s collapse is not Trump’s fault. It’s ours. We made excuses. We silenced critics. We told ourselves everything was fine when it clearly wasn’t.
Now the world will see a different kind of truth - one that only a real friend was brave enough to show us. And for that, I say it without irony: I’m proud to be American.
