Hate Hits Home: Manny’s Vandalized in Antisemitic Attack
A Jewish eatery named Manny's was vandalized by pro-Palestinian activists in San Francisco, according to StopAntisemitism.

Yesterday (Monday), Manny’s Café, a Jewish-owned eatery in San Francisco’s Mission District, was vandalized with antisemitic graffiti during an anti-ICE protest. According to posts on X, including one from the antisemitism watchdog StopAntisemitism, the vandals spray-painted threats such as “Death 2 Israel is a promise” on the café’s exterior.
The tags include "Die Zio," "F--k Manny's," and "The Only Good Settler Is A Dead Settler."
This is the second instance of antisemitic vandalism targeting Manny’s since October 7, 2023, with a previous incident in October 2024 involving messages like “Death 2 the enemy” and “Zionists out of Frisco” during a pro-Palestinian rally, according to StopAntisemitism.
The café, owned by Manny Yekutiel, a Jewish Israeli immigrant, has been repeatedly targeted since its 2018 opening, often accused by activists of promoting Zionism or gentrification.
Yekutiel, known for hosting civic engagement events with figures like Kamala Harris and Gavin Newsom, condemned the vandalism, emphasizing its impact on the Jewish community.
The San Francisco Police Department is investigating the incident as a hate crime, with no arrests reported yet.
Community responses include a GoFundMe campaign raising over $50,000 to support Manny’s and other Jewish businesses facing similar attacks
Vandalism of this sort has become increasingly common against Jewish establishments and community buildings ever since October 7. Jews have also been subject to harassment and physical attacks, such as the firebombing of a peaceful protest for the hostages in Boulder, Colorado.
