At “Lifeline for Palestine”
Roger Waters Calls for Harassment of Israeli Athletes | WATCH
Musician and activist Roger Waters faces well-deserved criticism after calling for a boycott and harassment of Israeli athletes at a "Lifeline for Palestine" event. His demands, which include refusing service to athletes, are seen as a call for collective punishment and a violation of sportsmanship.

At the "Lifeline for Palestine" event, musician and activist Roger Waters called for the harassment of Israeli athletes, urging direct action against them.
Waters demanded that FIFA ban Israel from international competitions and encouraged English workers to refuse service to Israeli athletes, stating, “We will not drive the bus … we will not feed you in the hotel you’re in.” He also directly addressed athletes, saying, “We will not step onto a football pitch with you who represent the state of Israel.”
Waters’ remarks have sparked controversy, with critics labeling them as a call for collective punishment and exclusion of an entire nation. The comments are seen by some as turning sports into a platform for division, contradicting efforts by FIFA to eliminate hooliganism and promote inclusivity in football. Waters, who reportedly resides in the Bahamas, has long been outspoken on political issues, including the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, often drawing criticism for his activism.
It's not the first time he said ridiculous, hateful things and we doubt it will be his last.
