Pizza Shops, Synagogues and More: Serial Break-In Suspect Arrested in Bnei Brak

A 56-year-old Bnei Brak resident is accused of breaking into nine businesses and religious sites across central Israel. Police have filed formal charges, including theft and property damage.

After months of investigations, Israeli police have arrested a 56-year-old man from Bnei Brak suspected of carrying out a series of break-ins across Bnei Brak, Ramat Gan, and Tel Aviv.

The investigation began in March following multiple reports of burglaries in the area. According to police, the suspect allegedly broke into nine separate locations between March and May, including pizza shops, a synagogue, and restaurants.

A String of Thefts and Damage

One of the earliest incidents occurred on March 27, when the suspect reportedly broke into a pizza shop on Jabotinsky Street in Bnei Brak, stealing approximately ₪1,682 (roughly $450) in cash.

Charges Filed, Detention Requested

The suspect was arrested by Tel Aviv District Police and taken in for questioning. He has since been detained and formally charged with multiple offenses, including:

Prosecutors have also filed a motion for pre-trial detention, citing the suspect as a danger to the public and a flight risk.
