Last Thursday, a passenger coming back to Israel from France was caught by customs officers at Ben Gurion Airport. When his luggage went through the x-ray machine, inspectors discovered 15 kg of crystal meth and ketamine hidden inside coffee bean bags and bath salts.

Investigators from the airport’s drug unit quickly arrived, detained the passenger for a thorough check, and handed him over to the police for further investigation. The passenger, who comes from Beer Sheva, is expected to face serious charges for drug trafficking.
