A high school principal in the Negev has been arrested on suspicion of attacking a student and biting him during a fight that involved the principal's son, his nephew, and another student, Channel 13 News reported Wednesday evening.
According to the allegations, the principal noticed the brawl between the three students and intervened. During the incident, investigators claim, he assaulted one of the students and bit him.
The principal denies the accusations and maintains that he was actually the one attacked by the student. According to his account, he had even contacted police the day before the incident to warn them about the student's behavior.
Following the incident, the principal's son and nephew were both removed from the school. The principal himself was released to house arrest after questioning.
In the coming days, police are expected to conduct a confrontation between the principal and the student as part of the ongoing investigation.
