Some desserts don't require elaborate preparation, and chocolate balls fall squarely into that category. With a handful of basic ingredients, ten minutes of work, no oven, and minimal dishes to wash, you can produce a soft, chocolate-rich treat suitable for last-minute entertaining or satisfying a sweet tooth.

Ingredients:

250 grams cookies or biscuits

100 grams dark chocolate

½ cup milk

50 grams butter

2 tablespoons cocoa powder

2 tablespoons sugar

½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Shredded coconut for coating

Preparation:

  1. Crush the cookies into fine crumbs and transfer to a mixing bowl.
  2. Melt the chocolate, butter, and milk together until the mixture becomes smooth.
  3. Stir in the cocoa powder, sugar, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Pour the chocolate mixture over the cookie crumbs and mix thoroughly until the texture is suitable for shaping.
  5. Form small balls with your hands and roll each one in shredded coconut.
  6. Refrigerate for at least half an hour to allow the balls to firm up.

For a dairy-free version, simply substitute plant-based milk for regular milk and replace the butter with margarine or coconut oil.
