Beloved Israeli Journalist Yedidya Epstien Ties the Knot | WATCH
Mazal tov to Israel's bravest and most fierce up and coming journalist; we are thrilled for you. May you merit to build a Bayis Ne'eman Be'Yisrael.

Yedidya Epstien (also spelled Epstein), the beloved Israeli military correspondent for Kan 11 News, known for his sharp reporting on defense and security, tied the knot last night with Esther Piliavin. The couple got engaged back on November 6, 2025, in a sweet moment captured on social media, with Yedidya popping the question to Esther, who's been by his side through thick and thin.
Adding to the drama and relief: His twin brother, Nehemiah Epstien, was released from a German prison just one day before the wedding after 136 days in custody on suspicion of smuggling 50 kilograms of khat (a plant-based stimulant). Nehemiah, 19, and a friend were nabbed at a France-Germany border crossing in August 2025, enduring solitary confinement and alleged mistreatment, including claims of anti-Semitic targeting by guards.
The family called it a "nightmare," but Nehemiah was finally released, thanks to advocacy from Yedidya on social media, the Israeli consulate, and a fundraiser that pulled in over $15,000 for legal fee.Yedidya shared his relief online, calling his brother "naive" in the ordeal.
Mazel tov to the happy couple, here's to a honeymoon free of international incidents!
