National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir addressed on Monday morning the controversy sparked by campaign billboards put up by his Otzma Yehudit party, which claim that if he had been defense minister, the October 7 massacre would not have occurred.
In his response, Ben Gvir wrote: "I see the left's whining following the signs that Otzma Yehudit put up this morning, which read: 'If Ben Gvir had been defense minister - 7.10 would not have happened,' and this only sharpens for me that even they know the truth deep down."
"When I demanded targeted eliminations before 7.10, those same people said I didn't understand because I wasn't a general in the army. When I cried out that Israel was captive to a conception and that we needed to defeat the enemy, they mocked and said I didn't know what I was talking about. Even now they will shout and attack. They will talk - and we will work," he wrote.
