$400K in Terror Funds Found in Car Panel

Officers at Jerusalem checkpoint discovered cash concealed in double wall of Palestinian vehicle traveling from Gush Etzion; 29-year-old driver arrested

 Terror Money Exposed in the Car Door

Border Police officers stationed at the Tunnels Checkpoint in Jerusalem stopped a Palestinian vehicle traveling from the Gush Etzion area toward the capital for inspection.

During a search of the vehicle, security forces discovered a concealed double wall panel. Removing it, they found two bags containing approximately 1.4 million shekels (roughly $400,000) in cash, suspected to be funds intended for terror-related activities.

The driver, a 29-year-old Jerusalem resident, was taken into custody and transferred for joint interrogation by the Jerusalem District Central Unit and the Shin Bet security service. A Jerusalem Magistrate's Court recently extended his detention by an additional two days as the investigation continues.
